That same year he was selected for a small animal surgery residency at Veterinary Specialty Services. After a surgical residency, Dr. Kimberlin chose to stay in St. Louis and to continue to cultivate his veterinary community relationships. He spent the beginning of his career working in a fast paced speciality and emergency clinic. There he was able to master his surgical skills and learn how to think quick on his feet. After 10 plus years, he began a new chapter in his career, and joined a mobile surgeon in the St. Louis area. Here, he found a love for working in local veterinary hospitals performing orthopedic and soft tissue surgeries while working hand in hand with the referring veterinarians.

Dr. Kimberlin is now branching out on his own to begin Integrity Animal Surgery. He is excited to open his own mobile surgery practice as the only St. Louis board certified home grown surgeon. His new mobile surgery practice will bring integrity and compassion for the animal, clients, and veterinary hospitals and their staff. Integrity Animal Surgery will provide superior care to animals and veterinary practices in the St.Louis and surrounding areas. He knows how important pets are and he will bring this approach to the mobile community with Integrity Animal Surgery.

Dr. Kimberlin enjoys all aspects of surgery, but has a strong passion for minimally invasive procedures. Besides minimally invasive techniques, Dr. Kimberlin, has special interest in oncologic and reconstructive surgery, abdominal procedures including but not limited to biopsies, mass removals, gallbladder removals, fracture and joint repair (total hip replacement) and angular limb deformities. Dr. Kimberlin is particularly interested in the human animal bond and desires to excel in compassionate care of his patients and their owners.

Outside of Integrity Animal Surgery, Dr. Kimberlin enjoys spending time with his wife, Rachel; their two kids, Josey and Elliott, leading a community group at his church, playing softball, and when time allows playing a round of golf. At home they have two cats (Dani and Pip).
